CHLORINATED PARAFFINS WORLD SUMMIT HELD IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Chlorinated Paraffins Industry Association (CPIA), in cooperation with the Euro Chlor Chlorinated Paraffins Sector Group sponsored a global summit on chlorinated paraffins on August 18 and 19, 2000 in San Francisco, California. The CPIA is a non-profit organization in the United States that represents the major chlorinated paraffins producers in North America and Euro Chlor is an affiliate of CEFIC and represents the European chlor-alkali industry.
The summit provided a forum for world leaders in the chlorinated paraffins industry to discuss the current regulatory status of chlorinated paraffins in their respective countries and to share the latest information on health and environmental effects. Companies represented at the Summit included: Dover Chemical Corporation (US); Ferro Corporation, Petroleum Additives (US); Pioneer Americas, Inc. (Canada); Ajinomoto Fine-Techno Co., Inc. (Japan & US); Tosoh Corporation (Japan & US); ICI Chlor-Chemicals (United Kingdom); Caffaro (Italy); LEUNA TENSIDE GmbH (Germany); Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Ltd. (India); Orica Australia Ltd. (Australia); and Novácke Chemické Závody (Slovakia).
