WELCOME TO THE EMULSION POLYMERS COUNCIL (EPC) WEBSITE

The Emulsion Polymers Council (EPC) is a trade association dedicated to fostering product stewardship with customers and the regulatory community. This objective is achieved by:

  • monitoring Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and regulatory issues on a global basis;

  • generating EH&S and/or regulatory related information, where appropriate; and,

  • selective outreach to allied associations and regulatory agencies, when necessary.

Past accomplishments of the EPC include development of a non-destructive test method for the determination of 'free' unbound-formaldehyde in emulsion polymers, as well as support of allied trade associations in addressing regulatory issues involving emulsion polymers (EPs). Presently, EPC is working on a test method for determining total volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in aqueous systems.
