The SB Latex Council (SBLC) is a professional trade association comprised of the four manufacturers of SB latex.  SB latex is used in over 90% of the carpets made in the United States, primarily to attach carpet fibers to a backing material.  SB latex is also used in paper coating and other miscellaneous uses.  The Council exists to promote the safe manufacture, use, handling and disposal of SB latex.   SBLC is a sponsor of the Carpet America Recovery Effortsm (CARE), which is a voluntary initiative of the carpet industry and government.
